I recently completed my treatment for breast cancer, as any woman can imagine this was a very frightening period in my life. However, I was very fortunate to have been referred to Sascha Dua. Although I was facing this devastating news on meeting Sascha straight away I felt I was in excellent hands, her positive and assuring manner gave me great confidence that I could face whatever trails I had to meet. She is an individual that on meeting instils in you that you are in the safeness of hands. I can not express the gratitude I hold for the profession skills she processes and the attentive and supportive way in which she dealt with my case throughout. To any woman facing the same situation as I I can not recommend her highly enough.

Sascha Dua is the most friendly, caring, sympathetic and excellent breast surgeon. My tumour was found on a routine mammogram, so it was a complete shock as i had not found a lump myself. On my first breast clinic visit I had a punch biopsy. When I saw Sascha for my results, my husband & two of my adult children went with me, it was quite a roomful. She was so thoughtful and considerate when explaining my diagnosis, addressing everyone with kindness as she discussed in detail all possible outcomes! I needed a wide excision of the tumour and sentinel nodes removal. She made the very worrying situation much easier to understand and it felt like talking to an good friend rather than a surgeon! We all felt everything had been explained very well and so made me much more confident about the procedure to come. On the day of surgery, Sascha came round both before and after to Op to chat about the procedures. I recovered from the surgery and final scar was very neat. However, there was tumour in both nodes removed, so then I had to go on to have an axillary clearance, which if anything was more nerve wracking as tumour in more nodes could mean chemo. When we saw Sascha for the results of this surgery, she cant into the room beaming! She was so genuinely happy for us! We were all in tears, as no more tumour was found in any of the remaining axillary nodes. How relieved we were! So now I will need radiotherapy only. At every stage I and my family felt that Sascha such a wonderfully warm, smiling andfriendly person. She treated us all thoughtfully and with respect. I cannot fault her. indeed the whole breast care team were brilliant, particularly the specialist nurses were so patient at all times and nothing was too much trouble. They rang regularly after each surgery to check on my progress and answer any questions.

Sascha was very kind caring and everything was explained to me clearly and in a very easy to understand manor with that added touch of humour. The team in place were also very professional and there to help me and explain and answer any queries or questions when ever needed.Right from the start I felt at ease, through booking my appointments, my treatment and the operations that followed. Gemma my designated cancer nurse was a star.

I don't believe she can improve, she was marvellous! A lovely kind lady that is always smiling and listens to what you have to say. She doesn't rush you at all and I would highly recommend her to anybody.
